Post-university studies led Beebe to the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1913, he began using the name Robb Beebe with its unusual spelling. In the 1930's, Beebe worked as an illustrator for the pulp magazine, All Story Love Tales while contributing to Women's World, Collier's and McCalls.
