THE SAN FRANCISCO FALL ART & ANTIQUES SHOW, now in its 36 th year, is the pre-eminent art and antiques fair on the West Coast. The Show presents 60 of the best dealers and galleries from around the world. Genres represented include furniture, modern, contemporary and fine art, objets d’art, works on paper, jewelry, ceramics, ethnographic art and textiles. All eras are represented from antiquity through contemporary. Thousands of collectors from the Bay Area and beyond attend over 4 days. With a hometown nod to the 50th anniversary of San Francisco’s historic Summer of Love, we are delighted to announce the 2017 Show theme, FLOWER POWER: Floral Imagery in Art, Antiques & Design. Our inspiration springs from the beauty and romance of blooms and blossoms, and their iconography throughout the ages. Floral imagery has long been part of a rich visual symbolism in art—textiles, furniture, paintings, works on paper, jewelry, ceramics, objets d’art have involved flowers and botanicals on some level, be it mythological, religious or romantic. Returning this year are the celebrated Designer Vignettes in Grand Entry Hall, which will showcase the work of top designers in their field and incorporates pieces from our exhibiting dealers and touch on the annual show theme. Our Lecture Series sells out every year with renowned speakers talking about the history, design and importance of art, architecture, design and antiques in our culture. The opening night Patron Receptions and Preview Gala have been called “the highlight of the San Francisco social season” and attracts 2,000 patrons of the arts with tickets up to $5,000. These are serious collectors who come prepared to shop. Guests enter the Show through powerful and artfully created thematic entrance displays, created by top architects and designers. The Gala is known for its live music, caviar bars, flowing Champagne and sumptuous buffets and the first glimpse of the best art and antiques from around the world, all available for purchase. 100% of the net proceeds from the Show support the nonprofit, Enterprise for Youth, which helps primarily disadvantaged youth pursue life after school with passion and purpose. Enterprise offers students everything they need to get and keep their first job, including intensive workshops, pragmatic skills training and career exploration, a network of advisors and peers, a broad database of paid internships, and college and career counseling.
The San Francisco Fall Art & Antiques Show is vetted in cooperation with the Antiques Dealers Association of California to ensure the highest quality merchandise.
