Each having a square-form top with bronze shaded glass inserts covering a mahogany-lined open well; all raised on block plinths; veneered overall in a warmly patinated and well-figured amboyna burl, one of the most expensive and sought-after of all burls; G-Plan was founded by Ebenezer Gomme, an extraordinary visionary for British furniture design. In response to the deficit of attractive and well made furniture after WW II, Gomme pioneered a range of furniture which grew to become one of Britain’s most iconic brands.
